Our mission is to create the best look for you.
We guarantee it!
I just came from iise salon. Had Cindy give me a new haircut and color. She worked with me to create a new look and I am thrilled. Best new cut and color I have had in years. She really helped me create a new and younger look. I would highly recommend this boutique salon to anyone.
I've been to my share of salons on Newbury St, and most are so pretentious you are completely uncomfortable while there. I'm a laid back person, I want a good hair cut, at a fair price, and Newbury St is a convenient location for me. So to find iise Salon was a blessing. My stylist, and the entire staff for that matter, are pleasant and easy going. I have always had great hair cuts, great coloring, and in a no fuss environment.
Anyone looking for a quality salon in the Back Bay, but that doesn't want the fuss of most salons in the area should absolutely check out iise salon.Kerry G.
So far, I've had terrible experiences with simply getting a bad haircut and customer service when trying out different salons... NOW I GOT THE SURPRISE OF MY LIFE WHEN I GOT THE BEST HAIRCUT EVER FROM MASTER STYLIST HEROL ROSALES AT IISE SALON AT 35 Newbury STREET!
The minute I walked in I was treated like a VIP, offered water, tea or coffee and Herol really took the time to look at my haircut and assess the damage that had been done. I had gotten an awful textured, layered short haircut by another Newbury street salon... He really knows his craft and how to cut your haircut to complement your facial features. When I saw my husband that night, he looked at me and said: :"Wow, that's the best haircut you ever got!" And believe me, I got a lot of haircuts!!
Looking forward to going back to Herol for some color magic when the grey winter blahs will get me down..... :) CALL 617 461 4314 AND ASK FOR HEROL HE IS A TRUE HAIR MAGICIAN!
I have been getting my hair cut by Cindy for 22 years. I can't believe I can even claim that, but it is true. I first met Cindy in 1989 at John Dellaria on Newbury St. when I arrived for an appointment to find that my stylist had left without notice. Cindy offered to fit me in and her great sense of humor immediately made me feel at ease. She then proceeded to give me the best haircut I had ever had in my 23 years. Since then, I have followed Cindy as she moved to different salons on Newbury Street - and most recently to her own small, lovely & comfortable studio.
Before Cindy cuts your hair, she spends time to know about you and your hair. Before cutting, she assesses your hair texture and cowlicks, how much time you want to spend styling it, if you need to be able to pull it back to work out, if you want to follow trends or if you have a certain style of your own. She then plans how she will proceed - she goes to work with precision - she is truly an artist. I have never had to have one of Cindy's cuts redone, and I can always style them on my own. Also important: Cindy will very kindly talk you out of a style if she doesn't think it will suit your face, lifestyle or hair type, and will guide you towards what is similar and WILL work for you.
I have moved many times, but have always returned to Cindy. I have tried other stylists, but about 8 years ago, I realized that I'm better off going 6 months between haircuts (if my busy schedule won't permit a trip from the suburbs into Boston) than trying someone else. I have come to relish my appointments with Cindy because now the outcome is twofold: I get a fabulous haircut and a visit with a dear friend.
